Every ingredient in the recipe is pre-measured to precision, and the directions are easy to follow. The average time it takes to prepare these delicious recipes is around a half an hour. Some take only 10 minutes, and a few taking up to 40 minutes. Knowing it’s all measured, prepped and chopped, and ready for you to cook takes all the stress and pressure off you.

Specialized videos

Green Chef’s YouTube channel offers beautifully filmed videos of many of their recipes being prepared. They also invite you to meet some of their local food growers and artisans. Green Chef offers helpful cooking tips and shows you how they help the community.

USDA certified organic ingredients

Green Chef believes that organic is not only healthier but better for the environment. That’s why they were the first meal kit delivery service in the U.S. to be 100% certified organic in most of their ingredients. Not all ingredients have the option to be certified, and in those cases, they focus on local, quality suppliers.

Flexible subscriptions

Subscriptions have several options. You can have your box delivered every week, every two weeks, or once a month. If you want to skip a box, you can do so without being charged. All the options are there for you in your account for you to change as you wish.

Sustainable Packaging

Green Chef uses recycled, reusable and sustainable materials in all of their packaging except where safety might be an issue. Every part of their packaging can either be recycled or washed out and reused. Even the ice packs to keep the cold food items fresh are ecological and reusable in your freezer.

To sign up for Green Chef, choose the plan you want, and you will be taken to the registration page to enter your contact and billing information. Once you’re signed up, you get to choose from a good supply of recipes with fresh, organic ingredients.

They do a good job with the feel of the site. Their color choice and simple graphics make it feel fresh, like their food. However, the site not as intuitive as it could be. The home page is full of buttons that make you think it will take you to a page with more information, but they lead you to the registration page instead.

The menu showing all the options in each plan is done to mouth-watering perfection. Each meal looks fantastic and is described well.
